While playing abroad, one of her teammates carelessly discarded the American flag that she was carrying and Kelly ran over to retrieve it.
She is proud of her country and proud to represent the United States of America in the sport she loves.
Kelly is currently a Defender for the Washington Spirit in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL)
In 2012 she played every minute (and these game periods are long) of the 2012 Olympics Women’s Football (Soccer) Tournament where they won gold 🥇
Many other members of that Women’s Soccer team have been glorified in the media over and over for their political stances but how little we’ve heard about the one who took the time to see that her flag wasn’t disgarded and honored her country. 🇺🇸
