Be Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving, ya turkeys!

This is one holiday that's simply about, being together, time with family/loved ones, cherish it while it's happening.

Take this day to let people who are a blessing to your life know about it, give them thanks with your time.

Put the cell phone down, shut off the video game, don't lock yourself away with a football game, do things together, but not shopping, even if you have to stagger it out, watch the big game with those who like football, then get with the rest and enjoy.

Each year, my family gets together for a big meal at lunch and spends the afternoon watching games, parade re-runs, board games or movies.

Take it from someone who has buried far too many family and friends, appreciate the time you have with them while they are here, be thankful for them being in your life.
